Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) Mengetahui pengaruh antara kompetensi guru terhadap peran serta siswa dalam kebersihan lingkungan sekolah, (2) Mengetahui pengaruh antara kultur sekolah terhadap peran serta siswa dalam kebersihan lingkungan sekolah, dan (3) Mengetahui interaksi antara kompetensi guru dan kultur sekolah terhadap peran serta siswa dalam kebersihan lingkungan sekolah
Penelitian menggunakan metode deskripsi kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Populasi penelitian ini ialah guru Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Kecamatan Tengaran Kabupaten Semarang yang berjumlah 279 guru yang tersebar di 34 sekolah negeri. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik proportional random sampling. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 161 guru yang berasal dari 16 sekolah negeri. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan soal. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis korelasi dan regresi ganda dengan uji prasyarat analisis yaitu uji normalitas, uji linieritas, dan uji independensi,
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan: (1) Terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan variabel kompetensi guru terhadap peran serta siswa dalam kebersihan lingkungan di Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Kecamatan Tengaran, hal ini ditunjukkan nilai thitung sebesar 4,888 dan probabilitas sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 maka Ho ditolak. Sehingga semakin tinggi kompetensi guru maka peran serta siswa dalam kebersihan lingkungan semakin tinggi, dan jika semakin rendah kompetensi guru maka peran serta siswa dalam kebersihan lingkungan akan rendah. (2) Terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan variabel kultur sekolah terhadap peran serta siswa dalam kebersihan lingkungan di Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Kecamatan Tengaran, hal ini ditunjukkan nilai thitung sebesar 4,098 dan probabilitas sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Sehingga semakin tinggi kultur sekolah maka peran serta siswa dalam kebersihan lingkungan semakin tinggi, dan jika semakin rendah kultur sekolah maka peran serta siswa dalam kebersihan lingkungan akan rendah, dan (3) Terdapat hubungan kompetensi guru (X1) dan kultur sekolah (X2) yang signifikan dan positif dengan peran serta siswa dalam kebersihan lingkungan di Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Kecamatan Tengaran. Hasil penghitungan juga diperoleh harga koefisien determinan (R²) sebesar 0,356. Dengan diketahuinya koefisien determinan (R²) maka dapat dijelaskan bahwa 35,6% variasi dari peran serta siswa terhadap kebersihan lingkungan sekolah (Y) dapat diterangkan oleh kompetensi guru (X1) dan kultur sekolah (X2). Sedangkan sisanya 100%-35,6% = 64,4% peran serta siswa terhadap kebersihan lingkungan sekolah diterangkan oleh sebab-sebab lain.

The purpose of this study is to determine: (1) the influence of teacher competence on the participation of students in the school environment cleanliness, (2) the influence of school culture on the student’s participation in the school environment cleanliness, and (3) to identifying the interaction between teacher competence and school culture student’s participation in the school environment cleanliness.
This research is using quantitative methods with a description of correlation approach. This study population is teacher of elementary school state in Tengaran District, Semarang counted 279 teachers spread over 34 schools. Samples were taken by using proportional random sampling technique. The total sample of 161 teachers is taken from 16 public schools. Data collection is using survey techniques and problems. Data were analyzed using the technique of correlation and multiple regression analysis with the prerequisite analysis test that is normality test, linearity, and the independence test.
Based on the results of this study can concluded: (1) There was a positive and significant of the role of teacher competence variable towards student participation in school environment cleanliness in Elementary School State Tengaran District, Semarang, this is shown with t value counted 4.888 and probability value 0.000 <0.05 so that Ho rejected. So, if the teachers competence is higher so that participation of students in the school environment cleanliness will be higher, and if the lower the teacher’s competence and participation of students in the school environment cleanliness will be low. (2) There are positive and significant influence of relationship of school culture variables on the the student’s participation in the school environment cleanliness in Elementary School State Tengaran District, Semarang, this is shown with t value counted 4.098 and probability value 0.000 <0.05. So if the school culture is higher student participation in school environment cleanliness is higher, and if the lower the school culture student participation in school environment cleanliness will be low, and (3) There is a relation of teachers competence (X1) and school culture (X2) is a significant and positive with the student’s participation in the school environment cleanliness in Elementary School State Tengaran District, Semarang. The result was also obtained by calculating the determinant coefficient (R²) 0,356. By knowing the determinant coefficient (R²) so it can be explain that 35.6% student participation in school environment cleanliness (Y) can be explained by the competence of teachers (X1) and school culture (X2). While the remaining 100% -35.6% = 64.4% of student participation in school environment cleanliness explained by other causes.
