Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) Perbedaan pengaruh metode latihan hollowsprint dan steigerung terhadap peningkatan kecepatan lari sprint 100 meter, (2) perbedaan pengaruh rasio kerja dan istirahat 1:5 dan 1:10 terhadap peningkatan kecepatan lari sprint100 meter, dan (3) pengaruh interaksi antara metode latihan dengan rasio kerja dan istirahat terhadap peningkatan kecepatan lari sprint100 meter.
Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan rancangan faktorial 2 X 2. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa putra SMA Katolik Santo Petrus Kanisius Palangka Raya Kalimantan Tengah tahun pelajaran 2010/2011 sebanyak 40 orang. Variabel penelitian terdiri dari variabel bebas; Metode latihan hollow sprints, dan steigerung, variabel terikat; peningkatan kecepatan larisprint 100 meter, dan variabel atributif; Rasio waktu kerja dan istirahat. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan tes dan pengukuran. Penelitian ini dilakukan 3 kali setiap minggu, selama 24 kali pertemuan bertempat di lapangan olahraga SMA Katolik Santo Petrus Kanisius Palangka Raya Kalimantan Tengah. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini dianalisis secarastatistikadengan menggunakan Analisis Varians 2 jalur dan uji rentang Newman Keuls, pada taraf signifikansi 5%.
Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan sebagai berikut: (1) Ada perbedaan pengaruh yang signifikan antara metode latihan hollow sprints, dan steigerung terhadap peningkatan kecepatan lari sprint100 meter.Fhitung = 10,76 > Ftabel = 4.11. Pengaruh metode latihan hollow sprints lebih baik jika dibandingkan dengan metode latihan steigerung dalam meningkatkan kecepatan lari sprint100 meter, rata-rata peningkatannya masing-masing sebesar 264.1 dan144.85.(2) Ada perbedaan pengaruh yang signifikan antara rasio waktu kerja dan istirahat 1:5 dan 1:10 terhadap peningkatan kecepatan lari sprint100 meter. Fhitung = 7, 44 > Ftabel = 4.11. Peningkatan kecepatan lari sprint 100 meter pada siswa yang mendapat rasio kerja istirahat 1:10 lebih baik dari pada siswa yang mendapat rasio kerja istirahat 1:5, dengan rata-rata peningkatannya masing-masing sebesar 254.05 point dan 154.9 point. (3) Terdapat interaksi yang signifikan antara metode latihan dengan rasio waktu kerja istirahat terhadap peningkatan kecepatan larisprint 100 meter. Fhitung =5.84 > Ftabel = 4.11

The aims of the research is to find out: (1) the differences of effects between hollow sprints, and steigerungtraining method on the increase of 100 meter speed running, (2) the differences of effects between ratio on the working and taking a rest 1:5 and 1:10 on the increase of 100 meter speed running, (3) the interaction of effects between training method and ratio on the working ang taking on the increase of 100 meter speed running.
Metodologi of the research is using exsperiment method with a factor design 2 x2. The sample of the research is male student Catholic Senior High School of Santo Petrus Kanisius Palangka Raya Central Kalimantan of school year 2010/2011. Sample involved in the research was 40 people. Variable of the research to consist of dependen variable; hollow sprints, and steigerung training method, independet variable; the increase of 100 meter speed running, and atributif variable; ratio on the working and taking a rest. Technique ofdata collecting use the test and measurement.The training was conducted three times per week, covered in 24 meetings.Field events place Catholic Senior High School Santo Petrus Kanisius Palangka Raya of Central Kalimantan. The data of research was analysed statistically through a 2 way Variant Analysis and test by Newman Keuls at 5% significance level.
Based on the analysis, a conclusion can be drawn as follows: (1) There is significant difference on the increase of 100 meter speed running as the effects of using the hollow sprints, and steigerung training method. F (count) = 10,76 > F (table) = 4,11. The effect of hollow sprint training is more better than steigerung training method on the increase of 100 meter speed running. The average of the improvement are 264.1 and 144.85. (2) There is significant difference on the increase of 100 meter speed running as the effects of using ratio on the working and taking a rest 1:5 and 1:10. F (count) = 7,44 > F (table) = 4,11.The increase of 100 meter speed running at student getting ratio on the working and taking a rest 1:10 is more better than student getting ratio on the working and taking a rest 1:5, the average of the improvement are 254.05 point and 154.9 point. There is interaction effects between training methods used and ratio on the working and taking a rest given on the increase of 100 meter speed running. F (count) = 5,84 > F (table) = 4,11.
