Penelitian ini bertujuan: 1. Untuk mengetahui Hubungan antara Pengetahuan tentang PKLH dengan hasil belajar mata pelajaran IPS di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Salafiah Kabupaten Pekalongan; 2. Untuk mengetahui Hubungan antara motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar mata pelajaran IPS di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Salafiah Kabupaten Pekalongan; dan 3. Untuk mengetahui Hubungan antara Pengetahuan tentang PKLH dan motivasi belajar secara bersama-sama dengan hasil belajar mata pelajaran IPS di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Salafiah Kabupaten Pekalongan.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII Madrasah Tsanawiyah Salafiah Kabupaten Pekalongan yang berjumlah 196 siswa. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan dua data, yaitu data primer dan data sekunder. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini menggunakan angket, dokumentasi dan observasi untuk Pengetahuan tentang PKLH dan motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS. Teknik Analisis Data Hasil Tes meliputi uji normalitas, uji linieritas, uji multikolinearitas. Analisis tahap akhir yaitu pengujian hipotesis menggunakan Uji t dua pihak dengan taraf signifikansi 5 %.
Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara motivasi belajar siswa dengan Hasil Belajar IPS, hal ini ditunjukkan dengan besarnya korelasi antara variable X1 dengan Y yaitu sebesar 0,335 > 0,176; (2)Terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara Motivasi belajar siswa dengan Hasil Belajar IPS, hal ini ditunjukkan dengan besarnya korelasi antara variable X2 dengan Y yaitu sebesar 0,290 > 0,176; dan (3) Terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan pengetahuan siswa tentang lingkungan hidup dan motivasi belajar secara bersama-sama dapat menjelaskan hasil belajar IPS siswa Madrasah Tsanawiyah Salafiah Kabupaten Pekalongan, karena besarnyakorelasi ganda antara X1 dan X2 secara bersama-sama adalah 0,398 > 0,176.

The Correlation of the Knowledge on Population and Environmental Science and the Learning Motivation to the Learning Result in Social Science of the Students in Grade VIII at Islamic Junior Secondary School Salafiah of Pekalongan Regency in the Year of 2010/2011. The objectives of the research are to investigate: (1) the correlation between the Knowledge on Population and Environmental Education and the learning result in Social Science at Islamic Junior Secondary School Salafiah of Pekalongan Regency; (2) the correlation between the learning motivation and the learning result in Social Science at Islamic Junior Secondary School Salafiah of Pekalongan Regency the learning result in Social Science at Islamic Junior Secondary School Salafiah of Pekalongan Regency; and (3) the simultaneous correlation of the Knowledge on Population and Environmental Education and the learning motivation and the learning result in Social Science at Islamic Junior Secondary School Salafiah of Pekalongan Regency the learning result in Social Science at Islamic Junior Secondary School Salafiah of Pekalongan Regency.
This research used the descriptive quantitative research method with the correlational approach. Its population was all of the 196 students in Grade VIII of Islamic Junior Secondary School Salafiah of Pekalongan Regency. The data of the research were gathered from two data sources, namely: primary and secondary data. The data of the research were gathered through questionnaire, documentation, and observation. The data were statistically analyzed by using normality test, linearity test, and multi-colinearity test. The final test used the t test at the significance level of 5% to test the proposed hypotheses.
The results of the research are as follows: there is apositive and significant correlation between the knowledge on Population and Environmental Education and the learning result in Social Science at Islamic Junior Secondary School Salafiah of Pekalongan Regency as indicated by the correlation coefficient of X1 = 0.335 > Y = 0.176 ; (2) there is a positive and significant correlation between the learning motivation and the learning result in Social Science at Islamic Junior Secondary School Salafiah of Pekalongan Regency the learning result in Social Science at Islamic Junior Secondary School Salafiah of Pekalongan Regency as shown by the correlation coefficient of X2 = 0.290 > Y = 0.176; and (3) there is simultaneously positive and significant correlation of the Knowledge on Population and Environmental Education and the learning motivation and the learning result in Social Science at Islamic Junior Secondary School Salafiah of Pekalongan Regency the learning result in Social Science at Islamic Junior Secondary School Salafiah of Pekalongan Regency as indicated by the multiple correlation coefficient of X1 and X2 = 0.398 > Y= 0.176.
