Integrasi Pendidikan Karakter Dalam Pembelajaran Geografi Menuju Bangkitnya Nasionalisme Siswa SMA Negeri 1 Klirong Kebumen

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui permasalahan siswa SMA Negeri 1 Klirong Kebumen berkaitan dengan pengembangan karakter dan nasionalisme, mengetahui prosedur integrasi pendidikan karakter dalam Mata Pelajaran Geografi, serta untuk mengetahui aktivitas pembelajaran geografi berbasis karakter di SMA Negeri 1 Klirong.
Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian warga SMA Negeri 1 Klirong, terdiri dari siswa, wali kelas, guru BK, serta Wakasek Kesiswaan. Adapun teknik pengambilan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Validitas data menggunakan triangulasi sementara teknik analisa data induktif abstraktif.
Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah 1) dari 18 indikator karakter yang ditentukan Pusat Kurikulum dan Perbukuan Nasional, di SMA Negeri 1 Klirong terdapat 10 indikator yang menjadi permasalahan siswa dan harus segera diselesakan. 2) Integrasi pendidikan karakter dalam Mata Pelajaran Geografi ditempuh melalui a) analisa SK dan KD yang bisa diintegrasikan dengan pendidikan karakter, b) penyusunan silabus berbasis karakter, c) penyusunan RPP berbasis karakter. 3) Pembelajaran geografi berbasis karakter di SMA Negeri 1 Klirong ditempuh dengan a) pengkondisian kelas yang religius, b) pembelajaran geografi yang humanis, c) pembelajaran geografi yang menjunjung tinggi nasionalisme.

The Integration of Character Education into the Teaching and Learning Process of Geography toward the Awakening of Nationalism of the Students of SMA Negeri 1 Klirong of Kebumen. The objectives of this research are: (1) to investigate the problems that the students of SMA Negeri 1 Klirong of Kebumen encounter in relation to character building and nationalism; (2) to investigate the procedure in the integration of character education into Geography subject; and (3) to investigate the learning activities of Geography on the basis of character in SMA Negeri 1 Klirong.
This research used the descriptive qualitative method. The samples of this research consisted of the students, the class teachers, the Guidance and Counseling teacher, and the vice principal for the student affairs of SMA Negeri 1 Klirong. The data of this research were gathered through observation, interview, and documentation. The data were validated by using triangulation and then analyzed by using the abstractive inductive analysis technique.
The results of this research are: (1) 10 out of 18 character indicators which have been determined by the National Center for Curriculum and Book Affairs become the problems for the students and the problems have to be solved immediately; (2) the integration of character education into Geography subject is attempted through: (a) analyzing the Competence Standard and the Basic Competence which can be integrated into character education; (b) setting up character-based syllabus; and (c) setting up character-based Lesson Plan; and (3) the character-based learning activities in SMA Negeri 1 Klirong of Kebumen are attempted through: a) conditioning the class to be religious; b) conducting humanitarian learning activities of Geography; and c) conducting the learning activities of Geography which hold nationalism in high esteem.
