Pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model kooperatif tipe Think- Pair -Share dengan meninjau kecerdasan interpersonal siswa diharapkan dapat meningkatkan aktifitas siswa sehingga akan membuat pelajaran lebih bermakna dan berarti dalam kehidupan anak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui : (1) Perbedaan pengaruh pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think- Pair -Share dan metode ceramah terhadap hasil belajar IPS Geografi kelas VII SMPN 1 Wonosari Gunungkidul .(2) Perbedaan pengaruh kecerdasan interpersonal tinggi dan rendah terhadap hasil belajar IPS Geografi kelas VII SMPN 1 Wonosari Gunungkidul . (3) Perbedaan pengaruh interaksi antara pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think- Pair -Share dengan kecerdasan interpersonal terhadap hasil belajar IPS Geografi kelas VII SMPN 1 Wonosari Gunungkidul .
Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Wonosari, Gunungkidul dengan jumlah 168 siswa. Sampel penelitian diambil dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling, sebanyak 24 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode angket untuk kecerdasan interpersonal siswa dan tes untuk mengetahui hasil belajar geografi. Teknik analisa data menggunakan analisis variansi dua jalan.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan : (1) Hasil belajar IPS Geografi dengan metode pembelajaran kooperatif Think Pair Share lebih baik daripada metode ceramah. Besarnya perbedaaan pengaruh metode pembelajaran kooperatif Think Pair Share dan metode ceramah terhadap hasil belajar IPS Geografi sebesar 5.5 dimana rerata skor hasil belajar metode TPS sebesar 75 sedangkan untuk Metode ceramah sebesar 69.5. (2) Hasil belajar IPS Geografi dari siswa dengan kecerdasan interpersonal tinggi lebih baik daripada siswa dengan kecerdasan interpersonal rendah . Besarnya perbedaaan pengaruh antara kecerdasan interpersonal tinggi dan kecerdasan interpersonal rendah terhadap hasil belajar IPS Geografi sebesar 10.5 dimana rerata skor hasil belajar dengan kecerdasan interpersonal tinggi sebesar 77.46 sedangkan untuk kecerdasan interpersonal rendah sebesar 67.04. (3) Perbedaan pengaruh antara pembelajaran kooperatif Think Pair Share dengan kecerdasan interpersonal terhadap hasil belajar IPS Geografi cukup signifikan. Hasil perhitungan diperoleh F hitung sebesar 4.922 dengan koefisen p hitung sebesar 0.032 dan selanjutnya dikonsultasikan dengan p kritis sebesar 0.05. The learning with the cooperative learning of the Think-Pair-Share type by viewing the students’ interpersonal intelligence is expected to improve their activities so that the learning carried out becomes more meaningful and significance to their life. The objectives of this research are to investigate: (1) the difference of effect between the cooperative learning of the Think-Pair-Share type and the lecturing method on the learning results in Social Science of Geography of the students in Grade VII of State Junior Primary School 1 of Wonosari, Gunungkidul; (2) the difference of effect between the high interpersonal intelligence and the low interpersonal intelligence on the learning results in Social Science of Geography of the students in Grade VII of State Junior Primary School 1 of Wonosari, Gunungkidul; and (3) the difference of effect between the cooperative learning of the Think-Pair-Share type and the interpersonal intelligence on the learning results in Social Science of Geography of the students in Grade VII of State Junior Primary School 1 of Wonosari, Gunungkidul.
This research used the experimental method. Its population was all of the students in Grade VII of State Junior Primary School 1 of Wonosari, Gunungkidul as many as 168 students. The samples of the research were taken by using the cluster random sampling technique. The samples consisted of 24 students. The data of the interpersonal intelligence were gathered questionnaire, and those of the learning results in Geography were gathered through test. They were then analyzed by using the two-way analysis of variance.
The results of the research are as follows: 1) The learning results in Social Science of Geography of the students instructed with the cooperative learning of the Think-Pair-Share type are better than those of the students taught with the lecturing method. The value of the difference of effect between the cooperative learning of the Think-Pair-Share type and the lecturing method on the learning results in Social Science of Geography is 5.5 where the average scores of the students instructed with the former and the latter are 75 and 69.5 respectively. 2) The learning results in Social Science of Geography of the students with the high interpersonal intelligence are better than those of the students with the low interpersonal intelligence. The value of the difference of effect between the high interpersonal intelligence and the low interpersonal intelligence on the learning results in Social Science of Geography is 10.5 where the averages score of the learning results of the students with the former and the latter are 77.46 and 67.04 respectively. 3) The difference of effect between the cooperative learning of the Think-Pair-Share type and the interpersonal intelligence is moderately significant as indicated by the value of F = 4.922 with the coefficient of pcount = 0.032, which is then consulted to that of critical = 0.05. The value of pcount is less than that of pcritical, meaning that the proposed hypothesis is rejected.
