Pendahuluan : Fenomena kesulitan belajar seorang siswa biasanya tampak jelas dari menurunnya kinerja akademik atau prestasi belajarnya. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi belajar siswa meliputi tiga macam yaitu yang pertama adalah faktor internal yang berasal dari diri pribadi siswa, misalnya kesehatan jasmani, kecerdasan, bakat, minat dan motivasi. Faktor kedua adalah faktor eksternal yaitu faktor yang berasal dari luar individu (lingkungan), misalnya teman, lingkungan keluarga, sarana dan prasarana belajar. Sedangkan faktor ketiga adalah faktor pendekatan belajar segala cara atau strategi yang digunakan siswa dalam menunjang efektifitas dan efisiensi proses pembelajaran materi tertentu.
Tujuan Penelitian : untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis ada tidaknya pengaruh yang signifikan antara : (1) Gaya belajar terhadap prestasi belajar, (2) motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar, (3) Gaya belajar dan motivasi belajar secara bersama-sama terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa Akademi Kebidanan Bhakti Nusantara Salatiga.
Metode Penelitian : Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian analitik dengan pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan cross sectional. Menggunakan intrumen kuesioner model skala likert. Populasi yang digunakan adalah mahasiswa semester III tahun akademik 2009/2010, pengambilan sampel dengan simple random sampling. Uji validitas instrumen menggunakan koefisien korelasi product moment, dan uji reliabilitas menggunakan alpha Cronbach. Pengolahan data menggunakan uji statistik Analysis of variances (ANOVA) dua arah atau Two factorial design dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 15.0 for windows.
Hasil dan pembahasan : F rasio faktor gaya belajar sebesar 6.245 sedangkan F tabel 3.28 maka F ratio > F tabel sehingga terdapat pengaruh gaya belajar terhadap prestasi belajar. F ratio faktor motivasi belajar sebesar 10.771 F tabel 4.13 maka F ratio > F tabel sehingga terdapat pengaruh motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar. Nilai F rasio faktor gaya belajar dan motivasi belajar sebesar 1.228 F tabel 3.28 maka F ratio < nilai F tabel sehingga tidak terdapat pengaruh gaya belajar dan motivasi belajar secara bersama-sama terhadap prestasi belajar. Hasil tersebut menunjukan bahwa motivasi dan gaya belajar masing-masing mempengaruhi prestasi belajar mahasiswa, sehingga apabila mahasiswa mampu mengoptimalkan gaya belajar dan meningkatkan motivasi maka prestasi belajar akan lebih baik.

Introduction: The phenomenon of learning difficulty encountered by a student is clearly reflected in the decline of his or her academic performance and learning achievement. The factors that affect the student’s learning include three aspects. The first is internal factor of student such as health, intelligence, aptitude, interest, and motivation. The second is external factor (environment), which includes friend, family, and learning infrastructure and facility. The last factor is the learning approach, that is, all of the ways or strategies employed by the student to support the effectiveness and efficiency in the learning process of certain learning materials.
Research Objective: The objective of this research is to identify and analyze: (1) whether or not there is a significant effect of the learning style on the learning achievement; (2) whether or not there is a significant effect of the learning motivation on the learning achievement; and (3) whether or not there is a simultaneously significant effect of the learning style and learning motivation on the learning achievement of the students of Midwifery Academy of Bhakti Nusantara, Salatiga.
Research Method: This research used an analytical research design with a cross sectional approach. The population of the research was the students in Semester III in the academic year of 2009/2010. The samples of the research were taken by using a simple random sampling technique. Its data were gathered by using questionnaire with likert scale model. Prior to its application, the questionnaire was tested in terms of validity and reliability. The validity of the questionnaire was tested by using the coefficient correlation of product moment, and its reliability was tested by using Alpha Cronbach formula. The data were then analyzed by using a two-way or two-factorial design analysis of variance (ANOVA), which was aided by the computer program of SPSS, version 15.0.
Result and Discussion: The results of the analysis are as follows: (1) that there is an effect of the learning style on the learning achievement of the students as indicated by F0 = 6.245 > Ftable = 3.28; (2) there is an effect of the learning motivation on the learning achievement of the students as shown by F0 = 10.771 > Ftable = 4.13; and (3) there is not any simultaneously significant effect of the learning style and learning motivation on the learning achievement of the students as revealed by F0 = 1.228 < Ftable = 3.28. The result of the analysis shows that each of the learning style and the learning motivation has an effect on the learning achievement of the students. Therefore, if the students are able to optimize their learning style and are able to improve their learning motivation, their learning achievement will get better.
