SEJARAH Program Studi Magister Ilmu Tanah Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta
Program Studi Magister Ilmu Tanah Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta beroperasi berdasarkan SK Menristekdikti No. 386/KPT/I/2017 tertanggal 5 Juli 2017. Pendirian Program Studi Magister Ilmu Tanah UNS tidak secara eksplisit disebutkan sebagai salah indikator kinerja kegiatan pada rentang waktu 2015-2019, namun berdirinya PS Magister Ilmu Tanah akan mengakselerasi pengembangan Program Studi berkualitas (global) di UNS. keberadaan Program Studi Magister Ilmu Tanah dapat menjadi jembatan penghubung pendidikan Sarjana dengan Program Studi Doktor Ilmu Pertanian, khususnya dalam bidang Ilmu Tanah yang sudah ada di Program Pascasarjana UNS. Saat ini baru terdapat 4 Perguruan Tinggi di Indonesia yang menyelenggarakan pendidikan Magister Ilmu Tanah, dan belum ada di Jawa Tengah. Dengan demikian berdirinya Program Studi Magister Ilmu Tanah di UNS bermanfaat mengisi kekosongan pendidikan di bidang Ilmu Tanah di Indonesia.
Disamping itu, pendirian Program Studi Magister Ilmu Tanah UNS merupakan pengembangan dari Program Studi Sarjana Ilmu Tanah Fakultas Pertanian yang telah lama berdiri serta mempunyai sumberdaya yang sangat berpotensi. Program Studi Magister Ilmu Tanah UNS juga merupakan Program Studi Magister Ilmu Tanah di Indonesia yang pertama kali berdiri dari Program Studi Sarjana Ilmu Tanah yang buka kembali setelah mengalami penggabungan pada tahun 2008.
HISTORY of Master Program Soil Science Department Sebelas Maret University
The Master Program in Soil Sciences, Sebelas Maret University Surakarta operates based on the Decree of Menristekdikti No. 386 / KPT / I / 2017 dated July 5, 2017. The establishment of the UNS Master of Soil Science Study Program is not explicitly mentioned as one of the activity performance indicators in the period 2015-2019, but the establishment of the Master of Soil Science Study Program will accelerate the development of quality (global) Study Programs at UNS. the existence of the Master Program in Soil Science can be a bridge connecting Bachelor education with the Agricultural Science Doctoral Study Program, particularly in the field of Soil Science which already exists in the UNS Postgraduate Program. At present there are only 4 Universities in Indonesia that hold Masters in Soil Science education, and not yet in Central Java. Thus the establishment of the Soil Science Master Study Program at UNS is useful in filling the vacancies of education in the field of Soil Science in Indonesia.
Besides that, the establishment of the UNS Masters of Soil Science Study Program is a development of the Faculty of Agriculture Undergraduate Study Program which has long been established and has very potential resources. The UNS Masters of Soil Science Study Program is also the Masters of Soil Science Study Program in Indonesia, which was first established from the Soil Science Study Program which reopened after being merged in 2008.
